There are many different organizations for which to get involved in with different objectives, from social to political. Not the best athletics atmosphere despite of awesome athletic team feats. Great campus and on campus resources. Slowly becoming more like high school with school rules and lack of diversity. The faculty was made up of intelligent and experienced professionals that had an obvious love for teaching.
San Antonio is a great city to be a part of. Lots of life and events downtown and now there's the booming area of the Pearl! You get the small campus feel within an diversified Urban city. The soccer teams are really good every year too! Trinity grouped us together when we were 18 years old in the worst dorm on campus Calvert They take the time to get to know you and make you feel like you belong.
Many alumni, including myself and my friends, met their spouses on Trinity's romantic campus, not that we're all looking for significant others with our diplomas, it just tends to happen when you bring wonderfully brilliant, well-rounded, and genuine people together!
At least that's what I think of all my friends : Oh, and the engineering professors are great. Uddin is the man. He got me my first job out of school, way over the pay grade I deserved, and got the invite to my wedding last fall.
He quickly became family over 4 short years. K-Z is awesome too, taught my favorite classes, was definitely the hardest teacher, but a great guy. All the professors are tough but they're always encouraging you to do well and always willing to help. Business Student. I was introduced to my life-long friends, one of whom became my wife, and all of whom were in our wedding. All of my friends have gone on to do great things all over the world, and most of them are pursuing Masters and PhDs.
Socially, Trinity University is a catalyst for bonds between intelligent, well-rounded, and respectful individuals. The quality of the education and faculty is a luxury I feel I truly took for granted. While I was thankful during my time at Trinity University, I feel as though my gratitude for such an opportunity is greater now because I have come to realize how prepared I was for the "real world" post-graduation.
As a student-athlete at Trinity, like many of the other well-rounded students, I was impelled to balance my life as a Business Major and soccer player. Competing both in the classroom and on the field with and against exceptional individuals improved my level of adaptability, endurance, and drive which are all qualities from which I benefit today.
Trinity University teaches you not only the information you need to learn but also HOW to learn and that is primarily due to the incredible staff and faculty. The erudite and accessible faculty is one of Trinity's greatest qualities of which I did not fully take advantage of and would encourage any student or prospective student to utilize.
The student-faculty ratio of is what gives students the opportunity to thrive in the classroom because of a personal connection with the faculty. As a student at Trinity, you enjoy being in a classroom when the teacher is engaging and calling you by your first name because it forces you to interact and also gives you a sense of community and belonging.
Lastly, Trinity's location and facilities were incredible when I was there and continue to get better every year! The dorms are the best I've ever been in. The food may not be from your kitchen at home but it never failed to comfort and satisfy a starving college student's appetite. The buildings and classrooms are new, clean, and comfortable.
The campus is stunning to walk around especially because the weather is always beautiful. The proximity to downtown San Antonio and the Riverwalk is amazing. All of these make for a happy campus full of happy people even during midterms and finals.
The caliber of students and faculty at Trinity University coupled with the ambiance of the campus is insurmountable and I wish I would have taken more time to appreciate them while I was there. With class sizes of the professor really works with you and expects you to become as much of an expert on a topic as they are.

Based on location alone, I think you would be happier at BC.
Which would be better for going to grad school afterwards? You really cant tell that boston is near BC because it has its own beautiful campus A decision would have to be based on what you are looking for in a school. Trinity is a rather isolated campus, in a part of Hartford that has very little to offer students in the way of places to eat or to go within safe walking distance, but we know several students who love it! Our d felt that it was too small, and limited in its offerings. BC is a major university, with a diversity of excellent programs and choices that excited her.
She also was interested in the intercollegiate D1 sports at BC--from a spectator's perspective--that simply are not available at a school the size of Trinity.
Boston, of course, is a huge college town in a city with incredible activities and an excellent transportation system. The BC students have wonderful school spirit--they work hard and they often play hard. Most importantly she has found it intellectually stimulating and rewarding! If anything, the Jesuits have fostered a greater sense of community service among the students--many are very actively involved in projects in Boston and elsewhere, during the school year, Spring Break and during the summers.
